What we cut
We work with a broad range of sheet and block materials up to 70mm in a single pass. For greater thickness, we develop a cutting and layering plan. Not sure? Ask us.
Wood & Board
MDF
Our most common material. Cuts cleanly, routes beautifully. We work with standard, moisture-resistant and high-density MDF up to 70mm in a single pass. Excellent for architectural panels, set design, signage and interior components.
Plywood
Birch ply, hardwood ply and marine grade. Strong, stable and visually attractive when edges are exposed. Used for structural set elements, architectural features and any application where MDF's weight or moisture resistance is a concern.
Hardwood
Oak, ash, walnut and other solid hardwoods in board and veneered sheet form. CNC routing in hardwood requires the right tooling and feed rates — our 9kW HSD spindle handles it confidently.
Metals & Plastics
Aluminium
Sheet and plate in 6082 and 5083 alloy grades. We mill aluminium using our 9kW HSD spindle with appropriate tooling and coolant strategy. Used for product components, jigs, tooling and precision fabrication work.
Acrylic
Cast and extruded acrylic in all standard colours and thicknesses up to 25mm. Clean-edge routing with no burning. Used for signage, display, lighting diffusers and architectural elements.
Engineering Plastics
HDPE, Nylon, Delrin and PETG for functional, structural and mechanical applications. We machine engineering plastics for jigs, guides, wear parts and product prototypes where material properties matter.
Foam & Composites
High-density Foam
EVA and polyurethane foam for set design, theatre props, packaging inserts and sculptural elements. CNC routing in foam produces clean, repeatable results far beyond what hand cutting can achieve. We've produced large-scale foam assemblies for professional theatre and TV productions.
Dibond & Forex
Dibond (aluminium composite) and Forex (rigid PVC foam board) for signage, exhibition work and display. Clean routed edges, good rigidity, lightweight. Ideal for retail and events applications.

If your material isn't listed, contact us before assuming we can't cut it. We regularly work with unusual and specialist materials — if it goes on the bed, we'll give you an honest answer.

and beyond
Our Pegasus 1530 ATC cuts to 70mm depth in a single pass — well above the standard capability of most CNC routing services.
For projects requiring greater material thickness, we work with you on a cutting and layering plan. Multiple CNC-cut layers are designed to assemble accurately into the final form — the feasibility and approach depends on the material and design intent.
This means there is effectively no upper limit on the thickness of a finished CNC-fabricated component — just careful planning at the design stage.
